Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid 1975 – 2015
Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid was established in 1975 in response to domestic violence emerging as an issue affecting the lives of women and children. Chosen as one of the Deputy Lord Mayor’s Charities of the Year an event for staff, volunteers and key partners from the public, statutory, voluntary, and community sectors was hosted by the Deputy Lord Mayor and held in Belfast City Hall on Friday 6 March 2015.
